Our own shop is switched off for now.
We aren’t selling anything ourselves at the moment. Everything you can buy through FarmerKnowsNothing is sold on other companies’ well-known websites — we line the prices up in Compare Deals and send you to the seller, who takes the payment on their own secure checkout.
This site sets strictly necessary cookies to run, and — only if you accept the notice when you visit — an analytics cookie (Google Analytics, sometimes loaded via Google Tag Manager) so we can see how the site is used. There is no advertising tracking, and nothing is sold or shared with third parties beyond Google acting as our analytics processor.
What is set
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in and holds the CSRF token that protects our forms, for the length of your visit. Essential; cannot be switched off.
- Cookie confirmation — once you accept the notice, a single value is stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again. Never sent to the server. Clear your site data to see the notice again.
- Analytics (Google Analytics) — only set if you click "Accept & continue" on the notice. Google sets its own cookies to measure visits and page views; see Google's cookie information. Optional; scrolling past or otherwise dismissing the notice keeps it off.
The confirmation notice
Clicking "Accept & continue" is what switches analytics on — it is a genuine opt-in choice, not just an acknowledgement. Scrolling past or otherwise dismissing the notice does not turn analytics on. It appears once per browser and is covered by UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Other sites
When you click through from Compare Deals to an auction or marketplace website, you leave our site. That site sets its own cookies under its own cookie policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, rough traffic volumes — only once you've clicked "Accept & continue" on the notice above. Google acts as our data processor for this; see their Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and site data for this domain, which re-shows the notice on your next visit.
