Our own shop is switched off for now.
We aren’t selling anything ourselves at the moment. Everything you can buy through FarmerKnowsNothing is sold on other companies’ well-known websites — we line the prices up in Compare Deals and send you to the seller, who takes the payment on their own secure checkout.
Compare Deals & the eBay Partner Network
Are you selling me something?
Not at the moment — our own shop is switched off for now. FarmerKnowsNothing compares listings on other companies’ websites and sends you to the seller. You buy from them, on their site, and we never touch your money.
Which sites do you compare?
Well-known auction and marketplace websites — the current list, with what other members think of each, is on the Compare Deals page. Each result says whether it came live from the site’s own service, was checked by our team and dated, or is a link to that site’s own search.
Are those sites safe to buy from?
They’re established company websites that run their own secure checkout and have their own buyer-protection rules. We don’t inspect or guarantee any seller or item, though, so read the seller’s feedback, pay through the site’s own checkout, and be wary of a price that looks too good to be true. See Delivery for tips on buying heavy kit.
How are results ordered?
Highest price first by default — price plus postage where the site states it — and you can switch to cheapest first, or sort by seller feedback or time left instead. Prices and end times are shown as last fetched or checked, so confirm them on the seller’s page.
Do you earn anything from the links?
Some links are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking one we may earn a commission from that site, at no extra cost to you. It never changes how results are ordered or which listings are shown, and a page says so where it applies. FarmerKnowsNothing was accepted onto the eBay Partner Network — eBay’s own affiliate programme — on 25 September 2026, alongside the official eBay Browse API that already powers our live eBay listings. We are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by eBay Inc.; eBay is a trademark of eBay Inc.
What is the eBay card I see on some forum posts?
When a member types a few words for a card — for example "ear tags sheep" — the post shows up to two live eBay UK listings for those words, filled in when the post is read so they never go stale. It uses the same official feed as Compare Deals, and carries the same affiliate disclosure.
Will this fit my machine, gate or trough?
The seller is the one to ask, but the forums are a good place to check first — someone will have fitted one. Tell them the make, model and any part numbers, and a photo helps.
Do you compare live animals or veterinary medicines?
No. We do not compare live animals, prescription-only medicines or restricted crop-protection products. The forums are a great place to ask about them, but for anything medicinal your vet is the person to speak to.
Something went wrong with something I bought — what now?
Contact the seller through the site you bought on and use that site’s buyer-protection process. We can’t process a refund because we’re not the seller. See Returns, and tell us through the contact form if you think a listing is a scam.
The forums & community
Do I need an account to use the forums?
You need a free account to post, reply, follow topics or send messages, but anyone can read the forums without one. Joining takes a couple of minutes.
Is it really fine to ask a daft question?
Yes — that is the whole idea. There is a dedicated Daft Questions Welcome forum for exactly this. Be kind, and be patient with each other.
How do Community Points work?
You earn Community Points on the forums — for posting, being marked as the best answer, and so on — and they convert at 500 points = £1. Full details on the Points & rewards page.
What if I see spam, a scam or something unkind?
Report the post — every post has a report link — or tell us directly. A moderator looks at every report; nothing is removed automatically just because it was reported.
Farmers Unite
What is Farmers Unite?
Farmers Unite is an opt-in directory of UK farms and smallholdings, so neighbours, suppliers and fellow growers can find each other. Nothing about your farm appears unless you ask for it.
Is it free, and who can see my listing?
Yes, always free. A member of our team checks every listing — and every change to one — before it is shown publicly. We only ever show what you chose to write, your county and the type of farm: never your address, phone number or e-mail.
How do I list, edit or remove my farm?
From your account, under Farm profile. You can edit or remove your listing at any time; it disappears the moment you delete it.
Free tools, guides & Reference
What free tools do you have?
Farming Tools & Calculators — a live kit and pricing glossary, an acres-to-hectares converter, a livestock stocking calculator, a gestation and incubation calendar, and an A–Z farming glossary. All free, no account needed.
What are the farming guides?
Five plain-English guides: what agroecology is, a resources hub of tools and official bodies, practical farm projects such as hedges and fencing, shows and events worth the trip, and farm safety & wellbeing.
What is Reference?
Reference is durable, written-up answers from the community — gestation periods, stocking rates, fencing specs and the like — separate from the day-to-day forum discussion, so a good answer is easy to find again later.
Your account & security
Is this website secure?
The whole site runs over HTTPS with HSTS, a strict Content-Security-Policy and CSRF protection on every form. We never take or store card details.
I’ve forgotten my password — what do I do?
Use "Forgot?" on the sign-in page to reset it by e-mail. You can change your password and other details at any time from your account.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — contact us and we will delete your account and personal data, subject to what we must keep for legal reasons. See Privacy for your rights in full.
Contact, advertising & policies
How do I contact you, and how quickly will you reply?
Use the contact form — we read every message and reply as soon as we can. To keep the form free of spam, there is a limit on how many messages can be sent from one place in a short time.
Can I advertise on FarmerKnowsNothing?
Yes — see Advertise with us for the placements and rates. Every advertisement is clearly labelled "Sponsored" and never disguised as editorial content or a listing.
Where are your Terms, Privacy and Returns policies?
Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and Returns each have their own page, linked from the footer of every page too.
