Delivery

Our own shop is switched off for now.

We aren’t selling anything ourselves at the moment. Everything you can buy through FarmerKnowsNothing is sold on other companies’ well-known websites — we line the prices up in Compare Deals and send you to the seller, who takes the payment on their own secure checkout.

Because our own shop is off, we aren’t delivering anything ourselves at the moment. When you buy something you found through Compare Deals, the seller sends it (or arranges collection) — so postage, delivery and timescales are theirs. Here is what to look for.

Postage in the comparison

  • Where a site tells us the postage, results are ordered by price plus postage, so sorting by price shows the real cost.
  • Where a listing doesn’t state postage, we say so — open the seller’s page and check before you bid or pay.
  • Prices, postage and end times are shown as last fetched or checked and can change before you buy.

Heavy and bulky kit

Tractors, quad bikes, trailers, gates, tanks and pallets of anything are often collection only or travel by haulier. Before you bid or buy:

  • Ask the seller for a delivery quote in writing, or agree a collection time.
  • Check you have the right vehicle, straps and ramps to load it safely — and someone to help.
  • For machinery and vehicles, look at it in person where you can, and check ownership paperwork and the seller’s identity.
  • Don’t pay by bank transfer to someone you don’t know. Use the site’s own checkout or payment protection.

Rural deliveries

  • Drivers cannot always reach a farm track or a wet gateway — tell the seller or haulier about narrow lanes, weight limits or a safe drop-off point.
  • Have someone available to help unload a pallet; drivers can’t usually move goods beyond the kerb or gateway.
  • Check anything perishable, or anything that arrives damaged, on receipt and photograph it before you sign.

If something goes wrong

Contact the seller first, through the site you bought on, and use that site’s own buyer-protection process if you need it. We’re not the seller or a party to the sale, so we can’t chase a parcel or arrange a refund — see our terms. If you think a listing is a scam or stolen kit, tell us through the contact form, and report suspected theft to the police.
