Returns

Our own shop is switched off for now.

We aren’t selling anything ourselves at the moment. Everything you can buy through FarmerKnowsNothing is sold on other companies’ well-known websites — we line the prices up in Compare Deals and send you to the seller, who takes the payment on their own secure checkout.

Our own shop is off, so there are no returns to us — we haven’t sold you anything. If you bought something you found through Compare Deals, your returns and refund rights are with the seller and the site you bought on.

What to check before you buy

  • Read the seller’s own returns policy on their listing page.
  • Find out whether you’re buying from a business or a private seller, and whether it’s an auction, buy-it-now or classified ad — your rights differ between them.
  • Look at the site’s buyer-protection page, and pay through the site’s own checkout so that protection applies.
  • Keep the listing, the messages and your receipt.

Your legal rights

When you buy from a business, goods generally have to be as described and of satisfactory quality, and for many online sales there is also a right to cancel. Second-hand goods, auctions and private sales are treated differently. The government’s guide explains where you stand: gov.uk — consumer protection rights.

If it goes wrong

Start with the seller, then the site’s own resolution process. We’re not the seller or a party to the sale (see our terms), so we can’t process a return or refund — but if you think a listing is misleading or a scam, tell us through the contact form.
